Anyone else think this a pretty cool idea.I wont actually be buying any as Im not fond of the titles being released but it just seems pretty cool that you can now watch anime on a GBA.It will be interesting to see how popular it is and if other anime companys get involved.

Yeah, It'll be interesting...
What would be even better is if they released it uncut on GBA- but that's not likely to happen. |

I'm skeptical that it will work. I think the GBA's screen is too small for it to work.

Lol, I was going to say the same thing... How would quality work? I've not been able to keep up with GBA since they put out GBColor (I got my color the week they annouced when Advanced would go on sale... I was pissed to say the least...) but from what I've seen of the GBA, I don't know if it's gonna look good... And dialouge... would that sound right? O.o
We'll just have to wait and see, but this could give me an excuse to finally trade in my GBPockets and GBColor... *sigh* I'm just gonna wait and see.... |

The sound quality is a little shaky on the original GBA speaker, but the GBA SP sounds a little bit better, but with headphones it doesn't matter- it sounds great. The problem with the GBA's sound lies in the pack-in speaker, not the actual abilities of the GBA.
In regards to the picture, the big problem holding back graphics is the ability of the hardware to render them. However, an animated cartoon would be completely different from a game, and shouldn't be a big problem. Check out Advance Wars to see what I mean. Remember, this is blown-up slightl, so there is some antialiasing. These screens are animated introduction movies, and while they may not be as complex as anime, it still shows what the GBA is capable of. |

The screen on the GBA is exactly the same size as that on the Casio TV I always watch on the train, so I don't think it's too small... I'm just skeptical that anyone would want to buy these. I would love a TV attachment for the GBA, though, like they had on the Game Gear... yes, even though I already have a mini-TV. Well, it would be one less gadget I'd need to carry around. But I have an old GBA that's not backlit, so it's not as versatile as my TV, which is, so maybe I would still have to carry both around. (I'm an old Game Gear/Lynx/Nomad player, so I prefer the design of the non-backlit GBA to the new GBA-SP...)

I would definitely check this out, BUT:
I am not a fan of Pokemon, Kirby, or Yu-gi-oh. Now, if Funimation jumps on board with Yu Yu Hakusho or something, I'm in. |

The GameBoy Player comes out for the GameCube in just 12 days (which will allow all GB games to be played through it via your tv). This actually was announced for Japan some months back and I thought it seemed like a good idea then and I still do now that 4Kids has announced it for usage here. It could really provide a nice cost effective solution.
