so the reader could very easily miss the moment as well if she hasn't been paying close attention.

This reader is a he though Wink

Skip Beat is one of the titles I look forward to a lot, and probably the most out of any shoujo title I'm currently reading. The various expressions, from joy to horror and everything in between, are such fun to see. Really, my only problem with Skip Beat is that it seems like I read through each volume much faster than other GNs, so I have months of anticipation, only to devour the latest volume in half an hour or so, and then the wait for the next volume begins anew.

I enjoyed the Valentines Day arc, and this new one seems like it could be even better. Kyoko can get into a bit of a twisted character, and that's when I think she shines the most.

It's easy enough to agree with you here. It's definitely my favorite shoujo series, and also one of my favorite manga titles overall.

Expressions and Kyouko's grudges. ^_^

They're generally a fast read, but I probably re-read each book two or three times during the wait for the next volume, and all the translated SB! books get read every year or two.

We've got to wait until late-March/early-April for the next one. ;_;

Hooray for guys who read Skip Beat! Very Happy I knew that whole "avoid gender neutral" thing they started telling me to do in grad school would bite me one day... Laughing

I agree that each volume just flies by too quickly, and I try to reread them a couple of times before I let my sisters take them to their houses. I figure that each volume is my $10 of happiness every other month or so. Now come on, someone, and give me Tokyo Crazy Paradise!

I'm another guy logging in as a Skip Beat fan. It is currently at the top of my list of favorite manga. I agree that waiting for the next volume to come out is hard and I also read each several times.

Now if we could just get an R1 publisher for the anime, and as long as I'm wishing another season of the anime, life would be good.

Someone doooo thissss

In response to the article, I agree that this series is consistent. I always know that when my new volume arrives in the mail, I'll be in for a great read. Then the depression kicks in when I finish, and realize I have to wait months for the next volume...

Another male fan of Skip Beat here, though I don't really read much manga. If the anime were picked up though I would definitely buy it. It's easily one of, if not my favorite shoujo anime from the past few years. On that FUNimation survey I pointed out how well Skip Beat does on the top 10 US manga lists and how it's always on the first page when viewing Crunchyroll anime by popularity.

I like this new look for Kyoko, I also really like the meta-acting angle they are working here. Some of the most interesting parts, to me, of SB have been those in which Kyoko has struggled with her chosen profession.
