for me yes. . .reason? well AU will be on once a week.
It'll be friday at 11pm(Central time) so yeah, and with Adult swim not on yeah. I think G4 is being real smart by showing only on fridays. So yeah,no more over kill re-runs.
I will keep hoping the ads arn't as long.

the other shows on that Barbed Wire biscuit block are pretty good(or to me they are heh) and the ads wern't very long at all. . . we'll just have to see come friday night

Probably should lock this for being a "yes or no?" thread, but I'll just keep an eye on it for now to see how it unfolds.

I was planning on checking it out to see how they handle it, but based on G4's track record for showing anime I can't see myself regularly watching it, unless they -- show in original aspect ratio, and not 'stretch' the display to fill 4:3, -- have only 1 commercial break in the middle of the show, the way it was originally aired in japan, and the way that [adult swim] treats all it's anime.

Maybe, if I've got nothing better to watch on Fridays. I've already seen it though the DVDs though, it's pretty good.

Despite that, RahXephon was actually concieved before Evangelion was aired (in manga form). Evangelion is an excellent show, but RahXephon has a better developed storyline.

As for watching it on G4, I would say no because:
1.) I already own the series.
2.) I currently don't have cable service, and
3.) G4 has way too many commercial breaks, one every 5 minutes.

I will not watch it for the same reasons, sans reason 2 (we get cable in the dorms).

Heck, reason 3 is the reason I hardly watch cable television PERIOD anymore. Commercials make me roll my eyes and wish I had the DVDs if I'm watching a movie or series I really like. I also wonder just what was edited out in order to conform to tv viewing guidelines and length issues. Aka: watching it is most likely a ROYAL waste of my time, and I'd rather pop the dvds into my dvd player and enjoy it in simulated 5.1 (I like watching it with the japanese audio).

And I also agree that RahX has a much better developed story line (I also have all of eva on dvd and have seen it many times as well). Similar to Eva, yes. Same as eva (eva clone)? Pffft, hardly.

Well, comparing G4 with every other channel out there, G4 has an excessive amount. No other channel has a commercial break every 5 minutes, most are usually every 10-15 minutes. At least Cartoon Network keeps the Japanese standard of a commercial break at the beginning, middle and end of a program (even though they need a little bit more time for commercials since it is more expensive to run a TV station in America)

Well, I'll be watching it because I pretty much don't have much to do on fridays now that I am jobless and everyone else went to their respective colleges. I also don't really mind the commercial breaks though they are too excessive. And at least it's something new finally! I really had enough of Last Exile, 2/3rds of ROD the TV, and I really couldn't get into GunGrave. Except for gungrave, I never noticed any excessive stretching of the show. I thought ROD and Abenobashi were handled pretty well in the looks department. And I've always been curious about Rahxephon. And with Evangelion finally airing on Adult Swim, I can compare the 2 and see if they really are as similar as everyone says they are.

Wel. . . one commercial a episode!? *falls on the floor laughing* you and every one wish, but some times AS has more then one commercial, and I've checked out the BWB block, and their commercials ...there still are 3commercials but they are a good 2-3 mins each which wires the down to 6-8 mins shorter, but its not as bad as it was a month ago or so... and G4 knows that the AU fans hated the over Kill-reruns,and the long frickin ads,. . .so we'll just wait and see come friday night

I would...

if I still had G4 Confused

My mom tossed the extra package for the cable thing since it was costing too much money... but hey, I still have ON-DEMAND... at least I hope so, they let us keep the box and we have all the double-digit channels

... crap, and the writing in X-PLAY was getting pretty great now *note that I have always liked the show*

But the thing with MARIO BASEBALL and SMART BOMB was great...

Yeah. The wierd games section they do every now and then are the best. The ski game with the strange party in the opener had me rolling on the floor.

But X-play needs to lay off Full Metal Alchemist. It's a damn good anime and the second game is pretty good if you play past the first chapter.
