this was the first series i ever saw on TV and its still on oh my god i know adult swim has newer anime they only aired once or twice they can air again but no they air Cowboy Bebop over and over again. i saw the airings of Android Kikaider and wouldnt mind seeing those in its place, it would be good to change it up a little. maybe i went to far Cowboy Bebop is much better but i mean i would tune in every night for say Witch Hunter Robin or Wolfs Rain (i didn't see the initial showings). i only tune in for my favorite episodes, Pierrot Le Fou is on right now, but would keep my TV on if they aired just about anything else. Im definatly not talking about [as] crappy shows like Tom Goes To The Mayor. does anyone know what the ratings for recent Cowboy Bebop episodes are that may answer my question.
I used to watch GITS SAC every night and it was replaced with Cowboy Bebop. Might as well remove Full Metal Alchemist and put Trigun on again. im just kidding by the way no one better start talking crap cause they thought i was serious.

Short Answer: When everyone who watches AS has seen the entire series 7 times, gets 7 new people to tune in and watch it 7 times, and so on.

Long Answer: See the short answer.

While I wouldn't mind seeing something else instead of Bebop, I doubt AS could plug a show in there that I (everything revolves around me right? Wink) haven't already seen. Bebop is one of my favorites, so there are times when I'll catch an episode just so I can make sure I remember all the lines. Whoops, I mean just because a little Bebop now and then never hurt anybody.

Im not saying everything revolves around me im just saying I've been watching adult swim since it began and even before that. Do you guys remember when toonami had the "Midnight Run" where they showed DBZ and Gundam Wing uncut? Its just im pretty sure a whole lot of you have seen Cowboy bebop over and over and over and its getting pretty annoying im pretty sure its been shown atleast 4 times more than any other show and other shows deserve a chance. Wasnt Blue Gender only shown once? How many times have ATHF aired? its been on the air for so long and the jokes get old i saw it the other day and didn't laugh the whole two ten minute episodes. Im just saying variety would be nice. At first I thought Cowboy Bebop was going to be aired again because of the DVD Remix editions coming out but I highly doubt it.

First off - Cowboy Bebop is an amazing work of art, and it's one of the few things that I don't mind seeing reruns of over and over again. It's my favorite series, and yes, I'm totally biased. But at least I'm honest! ^_^

Seondly - AS is playing the series to refaimilarize the viewers with the series, because I believe they're airing The Cowboy Bebop movie in a month or two.

Thirdly - AS is flat out open with how much they love Cowboy Bebop, how ground-breaking it was, and how much it still kicks Inu Yasha's sorry half-mut ass. XD Basically what I'm saying is that Adult Swin enjoys the series so much that I think they go out of their way to air it.

oh i didn't know the cowboy bebop movie was going to air. now i get it. but still...well i guess it makes sense i too like cowboy bebop, a whole lot i have the 5 tp mangas and the DVDs including the movie, but i just dont know how people can watch the same stuff over and over again. Akira was the only DVD I've seen more than twice in my 200+ dvd collection. but the whole word of mouf thing about people getting their friends into the anime and just a repeating process and it may have a huge fan base considering it was one of the first titles when adult swim aired.

What bugs the hell out of me about them re-airing Cowboy Bebop is the fact that they interrupted GITS: SAC to show it. They moved FMA and GITS: SAC to weeknights, and then stopped showing GITS: SAC before it even completed one cycle! I would understand if they swapped it out after it had finished the first season of episodes, but to just stop in the middle was irritating.

The probelm is, the fans are refimilarize out the ying yang with the series. If they haven't got the DVDs yet, then they are just being lazy. It's been four years for the love of Jebus.

Need the less about how much AS loves the show, they just need to take it out back, gently rubs it's back, and put a bullet in it, becasue that old war horse has served it's master well for long enough.

Sad fact of the matter: Cowboy Bebop remains one of the routinely highest-rated anime in reruns that Adult Swim has. And it will continue to be as such. Kikaider bombed and we haven't seen it back. Witch Hunter Robin bombed and we haven't seen it back. Cowboy Bebop & Inu-Yasha hit (and hit HUGE), and guess where they are.

When people stop watching Cowboy Bebop, they will retire it. Good luck trying to convince a few hundred thousand viewers to stop watching a show they still get enjoyment out of.

Fun Trivia: For all the whining about not giving Cowboy Bebop a break, a lot of people seem to fail to realise that the show just came back from a lengthy break a little over a month-and-a-half ago. You got exactly what you wanted and didn't even revel in it, how sad. Razz

Funny you mentioned this, acctually was up pretty late last night, caught saw Pierrot Le Fou and end up staying up watching the entire episode, even though I have the DVD collection Laughing Something about Cowboy Bebop really draw me in, no matter how many times I have seen the episodes.

Although so many have already seen it, I think it's great that they keep airing the show, giving people who have never seen the series a chance to see it. I think that's something everyone deserves Anime smallmouth

I wasn't under the impression that you were saying that. I was joking around.

Currently i'm up episode 21 of Cowboy Bebop and i like the series.it's work of art,but Inuyasha is a better show then Cowboy Bebop.CB is great show, but Inuyash is a masterpeice.

as for the topic,i wouldn't mind seeing new anime on AS.can't
wait for Evangelion to start airing on AS.and most likely they'll
edit it.

Joe is entitled to his opinion.

But I truely would like to hear his reaction after completing the series. Cowboy Bebop can only fully be realized after completing the series and knowing the complete story line.

Your so close Joe, only a couple of sessions left. I'm assuming your watching on [adult swim] right now since session 21 is on tonight.

I swear I'm going to pitch the folks at Williams Street an idea: the "Cowboy Bebop" Final Airing celebration. Cowboy Bebop is retired from [adult swim], in exchange they air complete OP and ED for the show. The ratings for episodes would be GONZO, and it would be a fond farewell to a series that has been on for 5 or so years here. Hell, give away some prizes and whatnot. While they wouldn't do it I don't want to hear how they can't do it; they used to air CB complete before. I don't wan't to hear the money issue either; they wasted thousands on "Shark vs. Croc Week". Oh well.
