At the moment I get my anime from Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. That will change later when I have more time.
Anyway, I managed to see all 26 episodes of Trigun. As of now I'm up to date on s-CRY-ed. Both series leave me with questions which need answering, and most of my questions have been answered. Three questions remain for me, and they nag at me like a splinter in my mind:  To what does the title s-CRY-ed refer? I haven't seen any explanations either here at ANN or at the official web site for the series.
To what does the title Trigun refer? Again, I haven't found any explanations at ANN; however, that could be because I didn't know where else to look. Does "Trigun" indicate some sort of three-mode gun? Does is mean there are three guns?
How is Kuroneko-sama related to Vash the Stampede? As far as I can tell, this black cat is a purely random element in Trigun.
The quest for clues continues.... |

1. Scryed comes from the word scrine which means to see or predict the future using clairevoyance. It's the past tense version.
2. Trigun refers to Vash's three guns his revolver, the machine gun in his left hand and the one he makes when his revolver combines with his hand. (I forgot what it's called.) 3. It just something silly the manga artist drew into the manga every once in a while, which they carried over to the anime. |

Thanks for the explanations, Kruszer. I had a feeling the Trigun issues were what you noted.
As for the meaning of "s-CRY-ed", does that come from manga, is that explained elsewhere within the series, or is that just from the dictionary? From what I've seen of the series so far, I haven't seen any mention of anyone (Alter User or not) with the ability to tell the future.... unless that's Kazuma's younger cousin through her dreams. |

It's a dictionary definition but not a very well know one. You won't find it in too many dictionaries, though you may hear it a lot if you watch a lot of Science Fiction. It's also mentioned in Witch Hunter Robin to describe Karasuma's abillity as well as spoiler[Kanami's Alter Power in S-CRY-ed though it's not directly stated she has the power of scrine though from what happens later in the series you get the picture.] |

the manga says s-cry-ed is the word of evolution and well that may be why its titled that because well if scrine has to do with the future than the alters are the next step of human evolution which will take place in the future and maybe the creator is the person who has scrine and is passing it down to kanami. cant focus sorry if you dont understand but im watching ghost in the shell SAC i didn't catch its original saturday showings so now i watch them monday through wednesday

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I'm OK with Trigun and s-CRY-ed now.
Here is an unresolved issue from a different anime series: Hellsing. I know that Alucard freely submitted to Sir Integra and her father before that. What I don't know is how Alucard put himself in the first place in a position to be captured and faceed with the choice to submit to his captors. If Alucard is as powerful as he's made out to be, why is he subordinate to the Hellsing family (Sir Integra, and before that her father)? I don't recall seeing this point clarified. ---------- I thought I was OK with Trigun, but I have another question: If Vash and Knives aren't human, how did they end up on a spaceship with humans? I saw a scene of them as fetuses, but that wasn't enough for me to deduce that they were born/created by the humans during their space travels. Could Vash and Knives have been stowaways or hitchhikers? Their presence on the spaceship isn't clear to me. |

That's really a mystery, they were both found floating in space. It could be that it was explained in the manga and not the anime, but I haven't read enough to find out. Emerje |

Wasn't there a scene where some of the humans (other than Rin) on the ship were afraid or angry with Vash & Knives (Or one of them). I seem to recall them being not liked for being different. Somehow I have the thought in my head that there was some kind of genetic engineering thing going on... but then again it's been *YEARS* since I've actually sat down and watched the entire series.

It's not stated directly in the show, and I haven't read anything about it in the manga yet, though I've only read through volume 6. |

As the Trigun point was already taken care off..:
Wasnt it that, that after Alucards capturing he was being used as a sort of guinee pig for Hellsings experiments, to make him, I dont know, I bit stronger? Like the fact he doesnt die after his head is cut off. Dont ask me where I got this, I just very vaugely remember reading about it on one forum. |
