Does anyone know if MB is planning to release a Twelve Kingdoms boxset or even just a box to hold all 10 DVD's in? This is one of my favorite series but no nice artbox to hold them in! MB has released boxes for pretty much every other anime series they have released so I am surprised that I can't find any info on it. Thanks.

PS: I searched, couldn't find a topic on this.

I don't know about one. Unfortuanately the only Media Blasters box set I know about was one of those big plastic cubes that ADV has also used (this was for Figure 17).

All the Best,

Nani?

I wouldn't rule out a 12 Kingdoms boxed set down the road, as such sets often come out several months after the run of individual DVDs ends. Nothing has been announce about it yet, however.

I hope that they release a box set one day. That would be something cool to look forward to.

The following information was found at animeondvd.com

Twelve Kingdoms Premium Box Set 1 - 550 minutes - $99.98 - 09/27/2005

Looks like there are plans for two boxsets each value at 99 dollars or so. http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/4372.php

Isn't Australia and New Zealand covered under R2?
Besides, the website doesn't mention that you can order overseas. Most anime in this area is distributed by Madman Entertainment, so the releases there are done differently and the content on the DVDs are also different.

No, they are R4, same as Central and South America.

For those of you who have seen or purchased either of the Premium Boxed sets, are they worth it? The premium version is anywhere from $30-50 more than the regular version. Various websites say that the premium version comes with an encyclopedia and guide book, what kind of stuff do they contain and does it contain any other goodies? I have read all three US novels and am excited to see the Anime but want to know which version to spend my hard earned money on. Also, is are the extras included in the first premium boxed set the same as those in the second? In other words, if both volumes of the premium boxed sets contain the exact same material one could purchase the first and then purchase the second as the regular version Thanks for the help!

Where did I put that thread necromancy picture....lol....anyway...

I only have the two thinpacks so I can't compare, but I can tell ya that the "extras" on the DVDs might as well have been left out they're so vapid. :\ Personally I was content with buying the thinpacks (they have pretty cover art and are affordable) and novels. Gets me the story, which is what's important.

Just a quick note for interested bystanders: the complete set (45 eps) is due 7-7, list price $70. Not a lot of details at the retailers I've checked, but it should be a good deal for people who haven't picked up the series yet.
