Holy shit. Shocked

If you can find something you like, that's a steal. I may just buy another copy of Princess Tutu for that price. Sadly, I don't see too much that I want, but what I do want... criminey.

What about DVDPlanet? Are they having a similar sale?

I can't find any sales page on DVDPlanet. So I guess it's unadvertised. The prices will vary from the two sites.

Wow these are some awesome deals, I'm definitely making an order. Can anyone tell me what kind of packaging this Saiyuki release has? : http://www.deepdiscount.com/dvd/Saiyuki-Complete-Collection_702727192029

This is the 2nd release in thinpak packaging (10-discs). There are no extras in this release. The 3rd release (MRSP of $49.98) has two STACKpaks with a sleeve.

Those prices are ... insane. Wonderfully, beautifully, heart-poundingly ... insane.

So I got:

Petite Princess Yucie: Complete Collection
Halo Legends
Mythical Detective-Loki Ragnarok
Yumeria: Complete Collection [3 Discs]
To Love-Ru: Collection 2 [2 Discs]
To Love-Ru: Collection 1 [2 Discs]
Guy: Double Target
Yugo the Negotiator: Complete Collection [4 Discs]
World of Narue: Collection [2 Discs]
Those Who Hunt Elves: Complete Collection [4 Discs]
Sorcerer Hunters: Perfect Collection [7 Discs]
Shadow Skill: Complete Collection [6 Discs]
Mazinkaiser/Shuten Doji [4 Discs]
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi: Complete Collection [3 Discs]
E's Otherwise: Complete Collection [5 Discs]
Cutey Honey/Kekko Kamen [2 Discs]
King of Bandit Jing: Complete Collection [3 Discs]
Ghost Stories: Complete Collection [5 Discs]

For a grand total of $101.27 ... Laughing

Oh, but because I'm Canadian I get boned on shipping, but even tacking $39.81 for that still makes this a raging deal. Plus I got my email confirmation from Amazon.jp that my copy of Shinkai's Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below has shipped.

Best. Anime. Day. Ever.

I went Shocked when I saw those prices!

Any suggestions on what to get for my step-brother (23) and step-sister (17) from that list? I'm thinking for him, Princess Tutu (on the basis that real men wear pink and his fiance, whom he is just getting into anime, might also like), but I don't recall seeing a single girly thing on his anime (or manga) shelf. For her, I'm thinking Best Student Council maybe? I dunno, she wants some sort of action-comedy-romance thing.

As long as they've got DVD players there, it's all good!

TLR for 5/half right after I JUST got in the complete (awful stackpack) box I paid 42 for...I'd say FML, but I'm getting $600 worth of series I'd normally not have jumped on so fast for $80, I don't really care! I'm tempted to just up and buy more that I literally wouldn't ever need.

...except I can't get past the checkout...

I'm having the same problem. Unfortunately, their web site is one of the worst for this sort of thing.

I thought I was going to have a problem, too. I think there's about six steps to placing an order and the "hang time" on the last two was nail-bitingly long.

@classicalzawa - Best Student Council is probably not a bad choice for your step-sister. But either your step-bro or -sis might enjoy Ghost Stories. I've only seen the first episode dubbed, but it was frickin' hilarious. It's one of those dubs where they've obviously taken HUGE liberties with the original text, but the end result is pretty funny.

After taking a break to watch a movie I finally got my order to go through and, mercifully, no duplication (last time I had this kind of problem I wound up with duplicate orders).

Cromartie High School Complete Collection
Ghost Stories Complete Collection
King of Bandit Jing Complete Collection
To Love-ru Collection 1 & 2
You're Under Arrest Season 2 Collection 1 & 2
You're Under Arrest Full Throttle (Season 3) Collection 1 & 2

I then went back and made another order because I had gotten an email about cheap Blu-Rays and saw Pulp Fiction for $4.49 so I added these for free shipping:

Batman: Gotham Knight Blu-Ray
My Beautiful Girl Mari/A Tree of Palme

I try not to feel the pain of all the items on the list that I already bought for much higher prices, but then there's no way to predict a crazy sale like this. Mainly, I'm glad to be able to complete my You're Under Arrest collection cheaply and with no stackpacks (the half-season sets are usually just 2 DVDs in a standard sized amaray with one on each side).

I was tempted to get more but I don't want to clutter up my collection with mediocrities. More importantly, there may be more great sales to come this weekend.

Anyone know how easy or hard it is to add an item to an already existing DD order? I've just sent them an email asking if Sister Princess could be added. I know TRSI will add items but I don't know about DD.

DVDPlanet.com has put up the overall sales page (with no filter). The prices from first glance are higher than DeepDiscount.com. However there is a one-time $5 off $50 coupon available.
