Hmmm, I did expect this to be licensed once the series was over a couple of days ago. On another note, I heard in the AnimeOnDVD forums that Bang Zoom! Entertainment is dubbing this.

I'm really glad someone finally licensed this, I was almost prepared to go bankrupt buying the R2 DVDs. I have the first volume and it's beautiful, both on the outside (discs, etc) and the inside (video, menu, etc)... I hope Geneon will prepare a similarly stylish package. (And I hope they'll realize that American accents would be really out of place in this anime. Imho they should do what Manga did with Arslan Senki and use British voice actors/accents for the dub.)
One question though: why 'Gankutsuo'? I mean, I know there are many ways to romanize the long 'o' in the end, but the official romanization is 'Gankutsuou', as can be seen on the official site. Did Geneon really ditch that last 'u'? Why?

And I hope that Lex Lang is the Count.

This is good news, I've been waiting for this along with Samurai Seven. Both seem like excellent series.

Bleh, he dosen't have much range and is certainly not as ominous sounding as Jouji Nakata. But whoever they cast, I hope it's someone with a relatively deep and creepy voice.

Yeah! That'll probably work. While I didn't like him too much as Alucard (who coincidentally was also voiced by Jouji Nakata), it's the best English voice I can think out of all those Bang Zoom! guys.
But seeing as how the Count isn't some really demented and sadistic vampire (although he kind of looks like one), I'm sure I'll like whatever rendtion Mr. Freeman decides to do this time around .

Except that he no longer works non-union jobs.
