Just wondering.

[edit - subject changed to remove offending link. The thread's kinda useless with the URL in contention gone, so it's locked. -b]

No it's a bootleg site. Can't you tell by the HK product for bebop, run by a company call FX. Also there's a faq on the forum that explain bootleg: 26 episode in 3 DVD boxset, chinese/english subtitle, region free.

If you're seriously looking for cheap legit DVD than Deepdiscountdvd and digitaleye are the two cheapest on the net that stock new dvd.

Hmm.. well.. I built a website.. I put up some DVDs.. People buy them.. Supply and Demand at it's simplest most beautiful level. If this is a question asking us to provide our suppliers then I'm going to politely refrain from comment as no company gives out their contacts. ^_~

Oh yes, please give me your contacts so I can buy that horrible crap.

Perhaps a new addition to the banned urls?

I bet it's really hard for a company like Bandai to sue one of these website.

Oh, trust me, they've sent the cease-and-desist letters. Then these guys simply take the offending DVDs down from their website and make them available "by special request" and through their retail shop. And once the heat is off, they put them back up again. And they admit as much in their forums

I know most of this because their shop is just down the street from mine and I hear a lot from our mutual customers. However, I'm not sure if I call it "mutual", these people drop $100 in that shop and then buy a Newtype (or a couple graphic novels, if I'm lucky) from me. Evil or Very Mad

We've complained to the anime companies, to the FBI, Customs and Colorado & Denver law enforcement. Jack & S**t has been done... and Jack doesn't handle that department.

Yes, this is a sore spot with me because every day that that shop is open is another day that I hear "well, it can't be illegal because otherwise they'd be shut down". Sad
