This sounds ridiculous but part of me can't help but smile and cheer and the concept of a pop idol branded internet service provider.
Somebody in the marketing depart will either get a raise or be fired for this.

I see a rise in stalking cases.
Look, Aki-chan, we will have such a beautiful baby!"

Whatever idols/seiyuu/agencies can do to milk to death fans.
Oh yea, but who care no, when the agency and idols are the real evil here to VIGOROUSLY feed unhealthy obsession of their fans, most people will always blame the fan, "he is sick" "he is a creepy" "he is has mental disorders" "he brings shame to all us us"... that's what most will say, but no one will dare question the unscrupulous schemes of agencies and idols (and seiyuus too now that they wan to reach idol status so they get record high popularity).
But when we read the next news that a fan has been stalking or that this stupid baby online game is not enough and wants the REAL DEAL and takes extreme measures to get what he wants, everyone will want the police to hunt down that "sick" "creepy" unfortunate individual that is nothing but a victim of the greed of others that take advantage of his unhealthy obsession.
News like this should open the eyes of westerners a little of how things really work in Japan in cases like this because all I read from them when some questionable behavior form fans arises: stalking, wanting siyuu to be pure virgins, etc, etc is nothing but blame toward the fan when the other party(ies) involved are even much more to blame and way more sick in their unscrupulous immoral schemes, the idol/seiyuu/agency will cry and threat to take legal action when things they propitiate gets out of hand.
Again, with this kinds of actions how many of you dare really question when fans want their idols/seiyuus to be virgins, no never date, to have no contact with male, and when news of they having a boyfriend, having sex causes a stir in said fans???
As you all see the other parties vigorously feed the fans such fantasies, many of us hardly believe and think its because the fan is a creep, is sick, etc.
Well, this is one tiny example of how such fantasies we call sick, crazy, or whatever, are born!!

I'm just tempted to match the pop idols with inanimate objects and see what the program generates.

Wow, that's not mind-destroyingly creepy and psychotic at all, and it totally won't make Japan's little stalker otaku {ostalku...?} problem worse!
And dan9999, your argument about agencies making stalker nutcases out of normal people makes about as much logical sense as saying violent video games make sociopathic murderers out of normal people. That is to say, no logical sense at all.

Just another shady tree amongst the banks of the gentle flowing Japanese cultural river. There was just no where else for AKB48 to go.
