The trailer certainly looks great, but Bug Films is currently 1 for 1 in production on a show catastrophically melting down.

The big mystery: How long could they maintain that animation quality before things get... awry?

Positive thinking: They've learnt their lessons.

When will people learn that the promotional video isn't and will never be indicative of the shows actual animation quality. Chances are extremely high that the animation production hasn't actually even started yet and won't until a few months before it premieres. The industry is too stretched too far with a severe lack of talent to ever do this manga justice

The promotional video is pretty as heck.
What happened with BUGFILM that people are weary about?

Zom 100 faced production issues and many delays, which is why people are wary.

Keep your expectations in check. That PV was a pre-animated trailer, meaning the actual show MAY OR MAY NOT look as good as that trailer.

They had pretty notorious production meltdown when Zom 100 aired leading the final episodes to be delayed by few months.

EDIT: I share some optimism with people and I do think the actual show will look as good as that trailer. I believe Bug Films learned their lessons but we'll have to see.

Production on Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead broke down. Multiple episode delays resulted in episode 9 airing at the end of September 2023, and the last 3 episodes not being able to air until Christmas in a special timeslot.
I'm optimistic though, and hoping they were able to get an earlier head start on the work this time around.

For now I'm skeptical for the studio the committee picked, I hope Bug Films has made some improvements on how to manage their schedule.

Definitely the Zom 100 situation, which I'd suggest reading kViN's great write-up of. Since this is the same animation producer as Komi (which had similar issues, though not to the point of delays) and Zom 100, there is a lot of room to worry. Though I really do sincerely hope they learned their lesson and gave this enough time, since they can't get away with the "great first episode, some highlights here and there to distract from near zero production lead time" strategy for Witch Hat Atelier, it's just too much stuff that needs to look good to do that with.

Either way though, I'll just go back to gushing over that trailer for now, because I really am happy to see super nice looking animation for one of my all-time favorite manga!

I was at the panel. We were told the trailer was comprised of clips from the actual anime and it wasn't pre-animated.

Kojima was also the AniProducer for Summertime Render, which Watanabe directed, and it flared better than the other two, managing to keep very strong points while never going too low. So I'm not that pessimistic.

A little bit slow animation as in a replay. Hope for 24-26 episodes to air!

They stated at the panel that all the animation in the PV appears in the actual series.
