If you're at all into homosexual relationships between men, that is. Just figured I'd give you a little heads-up on that just in case shounen-ai isn't exactly what you had in mind.

Ai Yori Aoshi and Ai yori Aoshi Enishi have osme truly fantastic romantic scenes but there is also al ot of Love hina style craziness with hte other girls. but they also seem to have some good romantic scenes as well because they have genuine feelings for Kaoru also. Especially Tina. I definitely recommend AYA series if youre into romance/drama as well as a bit of comedy.

There's Maison Ikkoku, although from what I've seen the manga is arguably better than the anime, which strains to pad the manga's compact stories out to half-hour length. It's also a bit old, but it has a devoted fan following, so it's worth a look. I did love the manga, which is fairly sophisticated.

Just to warn you, I completley and totally disagree about the setiments for Ai Yori Yoshi. It's not deep at all. Then again, I can't believe you actually bought To Heart....>_>
If that money is a LOT of money, and you like pretty men, then go for The Fushigi Yugi series.

Mature romance/drama?
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien comes to mind. Great series especially if you like melodrama. Of course go luck finding it though.

KoiKaze
It's heavy drama in very realistic surroundings. It's rated "M" for Mature and thats the way it should be. Its about a 28 year old men who falls for his 15 year old sister. He didn't see her in ages and when he meets her after all the years he falls for her. This anime is a masterpiece for most part but beware, it's scenes are sometimes really sick and twisted. I highly recommend it to people who want an excellent drama series.

I recommend the Samurai X Trust and Betrayal movies. Though there is alot of blood in it, i still consider it to be romance/drama, especially Betrayal. And i would deffinately say these are mature, because i tried showing it to my younger brother and he didn't like it because it was too dramatic for someone of his age.
hope that helps a little.

Absolutely second Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal, and Voices of a Distant Star. Both are incredibly heartwrenching, but with a satisfying story arc. I would also suggest RahXephon. Unlike Evangelion, the hero of RahXephon gets to re-create his world in a better way and ends up with the one he loves.

I second this. KimiNozo is very good. I did watch it when I was in a bad mood and it got me a little depressed though
It's a rather dramatic series... I still feel sad when I hear the opening

Yes, like many have said the romantic dramas would be stuff like Ai Yori Aoshi, Voices Of A Distant Star, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (which isn't licensed yet) and SaiKano.
There is also another, which may make some cry and some not but just laugh. And that is Onegai Teacher. I love this anime, it really made me cry a lot.
Look into Onegai Teacher, please do! It's a romance drama about pure love, loss, denial, and pain.
