Them's fightin' words, governor. I say both TAF & ACE should be rescheduled for the fall or summer! |

Well, everyone knows there's nothing earthquakes care more about than ruining anime.
I really wish this guy would, if not be voted out, at least be quiet. |

The majority voted him in again. I guess they deserve it too. I'm waiting for him to declair that Tokyo was spared because he was the guv.

Troll Governor. I mean, Tokyo Governor. If there were a manga making fun of him I bet one of his lines would be:
"At least the earthquake killed a couple of homosexuals and incest mangaka while damaging our nuclear plants. That's divine punishment. Trolololol." Why waste so much time on this anyway? Hairy Japanese girls make Japan's image much worse than some unknown incest manga ever could. I say we invest this part of the tax payers' money on a "Shave down now!" campaign. |

That's kind of how I view it. Those that voted against him are more than welcome to complain, but if he keeps being reelected, then the majority obviously don't mind his trolling so they deserve to put up with him. If the anime and manga industry really wanted to strike back at him, they'd make an anime/manga with a depiction of him getting sodomized or something. Just post up the usual tripe of "All characters depicted here are a work of fiction. Any resemblance to any person living or dead is purely coincidental" and they'll be fine. |

Actually, that's not quite true. See this blog postby Dan Kanemitsu for some interesting details. He got less than half the vote, but that happened to be enough to win in this case, and it's questionable if he would have won had the earthquake not distracted Japan from other issues. |

This guy never ceases to amuse me... now if he could only get rid of the 'offending the overall community' part...

That's a good article. Especially the part regarding the timing of the election after the earthquake. Regardless of your political stance, looking at American politics, the incumbent always does better after a crisis (9-11) and during times of war (Iraq), which helped Bush to get re-elected in 2004.

As much as I hated bush at least he never said "America got what it deserved on 9-11 and this is divine punishment for our sins". You also have to think Japan has more older people that are able to vote that do like him due to the declining birth rate. Do to this the older people will keep him office because they like him and his policies. |

I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I hope this man rots in hell when his time comes. What he says is nothing but tasteless and mean-spirited.
