My favorite song is White Destiny sung by Yoko Ishida for Pretear. Her voice is soooo lovely in that song. Wink Every time I listen to it my mood always goes up.

Not to be picky or anything, but you all do know that a "song" has vocals, right? If it's just instrumental music, then it's a "piece of music" (at least that's what my music teacher said).

Maybe Ms. Annie Jr. could edit the topic to "Favorite Anime INSERT SONG/BGM?" Wink

Omega Blue from Arjuna-- it plays during one of the most unsual scenes in any anime( and I recomend renting the second disk for that episode alone even if this show otherwise offends your sensablities), when a math teacher is talking about the importance of being passionate. Whenever I hear that song I'm brought back to that moment.

Destiny for X-- when I hear it in the middle or the end of an episode, it feels like leaves caught on the slowly building wind, then caught in a sudden gust of wind at the start of a huge, orchestaral storm.

The two major insert songs from Madlax, nowhere and I'm here by FictionJunction YUUKA are absolutely incredible.

When nowhere came up in the first episode, providing the backdrop while Madlax was laying the smack down, I was instantly hooked; kinda hard to hate a song that had a debut in the series like this.

Same with I'm here, though it didn't appear in the series until a little after the halfway point. I like this a bit more than nowhere in terms of the musical arrangement, although both work very well where they are placed in the episodes.

My favourite, probably could be one that I'm not sure about it's title, hehe.

It's from Noir, and it usually appears when some action gets in. It's sang in latin language, and I believe it's called Salva Nos. Does anyone know what song am I refering? In that case, does anyone know the name of the song??

Let me see. First chapter. Kirika is looking a clock she has on her hands. Mireille is following her, but Kirika starts to run away, and a group of "dark men" shoots Mireille (of course, without touching her).

The music when this happens. Canta per me?

Actually, that would be an opening song. An "insert song" is a song that is not an opening or ending song and is usually "inserted" into the middle of an episode, or something like that.

But yes, I like that song too, it's got a catchy bass guitar rhythm. Smile

Yes, the song your talking about is Salva Nos. It's sung in latin. Canta Per Me is sung in italian. Both are great songs Smile.

My personal favourite of insert songs is "Phychedelic Soul" by Yoko Kanno(music), Tim Jensen (words) and Scott Matthew (vocals). From the second season of Stand Alone Complex (2nd gig). I get the chills (in a good way Wink) every time I hear this song. This was actually a very hard choise to come up with. I had to listen almost all of my anime soundtracks in order to make up my mind. This song turned out to be the best.
