Greetings Fans,

This is Ranmah from "Otaku's Voice." I am setting up this section of the forum for people to ask me questions and add my opinion on all things Anime. I'm in transition so it will be a while for me to write something. If you have a suggestion give me a shout.

Ranmah Anime smile...,

Greeting folks,

I just have to comment about two things stated in the board CN and Metropolis.

First is CN. I know that they edit and dice up the shows and I am glad that WB canceled Card Captors (They way they did it was really bad and the dubed voices were not done well). I do have to applaude Tom of Toonami for help spreading the word around to Anime. As a long time fan I am glad that someone had the guts to show past shows (ie: ThunderCats) along with new classics (ie. Cowboy Bebop). Only time will tell concerning the new Anime Network. If I meet Tom in person I would like to shake his hand.

Now on Metropolis. I am a big fan of Ozama Tezuka's work. The story was great and top notch. The character and background designs blew me away. The film was showed at Big Apple Anime Festival and it was a couple months after 9/11. Some of the scenes I found unsettling (ie. Buildings falling) and frankly I don't think I can hear another Ray Charles song with out crying. I think the people who did the programing made a judgement call to show the movie on schedule instead of postponing it to a later date. This is just me as a New Yorker who lived during that dark peroid.

You can agree with me or you can throw me to the Wargs.

Now if you excuse me I have some running to do.

para para....para para......

^_^...,

You may want to consider posting your opinions on topics that have threads to those threads instead of this one. It'd be easier to follow what you're trying to say.

Thanks Zac,

I thought it would be easier for people to see without all the clutter.

Well...I can say that I'm confused by some of the stuff you're saying.

About the CN thing....you're glad WB cancelled WHAT show?

And I'm assuming the Metropolis comment was based on the thread on here about the show....but you were talking more about your feelings from WHEN you watched it moreso than about the actual movie.

I dunno...it might make more sense in the actual threads.

Brian,

By "clutter" do you mean other people's posts?

Yeah, I know...but that wasn't a show...it's a lineup (as in more than one show). And WB and CN are owned by the same company (AOL/TW) so I dunno that "cancelled" is the right term to use. The entire reason for having Toonami on the WB was to raise the WB ratings. (At the time, AOL/TW cared more about WB Kids ratings than Toonami's....which is also why Toonami's timeslot got cut in half around that time.)

Nonononono. That's just not personal enough. We all MUST have our own threads; dedicated to our pitiful little daily lives, our spur-of-the-moment thoughts, and the anime each of us happens to be watching at any given moment in time. That's why everyone is here. What else could be more important?

Adovates for an Off Topic forum beware: Mass numbers of these kinds of threads are what you will be faced with if/when the admins answer your prayers.

Sorry Folks my mind can kind of wander. I meant to say was I was glad that WB canceled Card Captors (Card Captor Sakura). The story was too sporatic and it didn't follow the ideas of the creators (CLAMP).

I will answer Answerman's question. I would like to have people read my opinions directly, but I can see that it can be somewhat confusing.

I will walk among my fellow fans (hits self with baka mallot)

....and now for something completly different...a panda preforming Shakespear....

Card Captors Sakura is a pretty damn good anime, but WB had to kill the anime by fixing the entire dub so it looked like Lee/Li ,or watever the spelling, was the main character

*Humming "Blame Canada".* Razz

The creepie thing is that some of WB's old anime series starting to show up on CN. I don't mind when they had Yi-Gi-Oh (I don't have WB/UPN where I live, kind a mix blessing. Razz) but Pokemon, well, seen that and hurl that. *L* I don't mind if CCS comes back to CN.

Because your opinions are more important are worthier to read than others? I think on a forum such as this, we all have intelligent things to say, and there is no reason to have your own thread dedicated entirely to your opinions. I'm a little confused as to why you might think that your opinions are more important than everyone elses. (I am aware of the irony of this statement given the premise of Shelf Life.)

The point is, it's no more proper for Zac, or Mike to have their own threads devoted solely to their own opinions, than it is for you. We appreciate that we're getting the "Otaku's Voice" perspective on these issues, but that perspective can also be garnered and equally respected by us on their respective threads.

No my my word is not worthier than anyone. I am very busy studying for a very important test and my time is very limited. I thought if I looked at my section I can glace at it and continue studying.

After I'm done I can navigate freely in the General Forum.

But if you're giving opinions on things already addressed in the general forum, wouldn't you have to read the general forum anyway?
