Well thats good there doing great and they do have so good stuff but there slow to release there manga
|

You know, it is possible that the two are related. That by taking their time they can get a quality product made with less expense, and give their customers' wallets a chance to recover between releases. |

It's good to see Seven Seas doing good again. They really haven't been the same since 2007/2008, and I thought they were gonna go the way of Vertical.

Very true. I remember one series that took well over six months to complete just one volume. Yeah, there wasn't any spelling errors and what not, but the Viz Media series I buy typically are error free and take half the time to publish though. |

Great to hear that SS is doing well.
 Though I really wish they'd get around to continue publishing the novels for Pita-Ten and Ballad of a Shinigami. I'm dying for the last volume of Pita-Ten!

Great news for Seven Seas. Dance in the Vampire Bund is the only series I've been following other then buying the two Kashimashi omnibuses.

It's great to hear that they're doing well. I really wish that they'd release more from their light novel licenses (especially The Familiar of Zero, none of which have they ever released), but sadly, the fact that they're not releasing that stuff may be part of the reason that they're doing so well.

I have been trying to buy from them ever since “the incident” in 2007. I am glad things are going well as there are still many titles I want a full shelf of.
It does feel like we wait a while for the releases, but they have been doing a good job of getting Dance in the Vampire Bund out. I still buy them, but the time between releases has left me too much time to start reading other titles. I will get back to reading this one – one day. I think 2011 may be another good year for them. I bought the Gunslinger Girl Omnibus, though I have the ADV books, just because I want to get to the new books that SS will be releasing for this series. Besides, this is a “must have” for a GSG fan! Then a big one-two punch by SS with Toradora! and A Certain Scientific Railgun. Both of these series should bring in good sales. I still need to check out some of their other offerings, so there may be some hidden gems (to me) out there. Still dreaming of a Last Uniform Omnibus (and pigs flying). |

What, announce a 650% year on year rise in manga sales and get a huge investment from two of the biggest players in Japanese publishing you mean? Seems unlikely. |

hopefully the increase in sales may imply that light novels may return soon and of course future light novel licenses. I waited several years of Strawberry Panic's final volume and while I'm happy to see the release of an omnibus volume, it makes me disappointed to have the other 2 but the not third. |

All joking aside (I myself enjoy DitVB), I'm glad for them, even if it probably is just one series putting them up like this. I have a hunch that'll change though, with Blood Alone and Railgun do out this summer. |

??? The omnibus contains all three novels. So, you can have the third novel. What you can't have is the third novel as a separate book to match the first two, and you're effectively forced to buy the first two novels again in order to get the third, but you do get the third novel. So, while Seven Seas hasn't been doing much of anything with light novels, at least they're completing Strawberry Panic. And if it sells well, maybe that will encourage them to release other light novels. |

We try to schedule releases of licensed books so that they come out every 3-4 months. If we catch up with the foreign release, then the scheduling can get a bit tricky. Our scheduling works for us, though, and it's not over saturating the market. - Adam |
