It's dubbed though, right? If that's the case, I'll pass.

As much as I like dubs in animation, I absolutely hate dubs in live action. I'll pass.

OHHH THE MONSTER CALLED GAMERA IS ATTACKING THE CITY
I don't know. Perhaps they figure more people will attend if they know they won't be having to constantly dart their eyes up and down the screen?

That's just a minor problem. I hate it when people give excuses like this for not watching a subbed movie. If a movie is good, you won't even notice you are reading while watching. Furthermore this is an action movie. The action and the actors expression are far more important than understanding every line of the script. The subs are just there for reference imo.
and this is a ONE NIGHT EVENT for an R rated movie. who else would go and see it if not te fans. Ridiculous decision by the American distributor. I hope someone will ask the in the interview at Chinese theatre "WHY THE HECK DID THEY DUB THE MOVIE FOR THE PREMIERE?".

yeah, i'd pass too since it's a dub. fathom has shown subbed versions of japanese media before (paprika for example) so not sure why they're going this route. i'd pass on eva too since it's just 2.0 rather than 2.22. better to get more than less.

So now I'm confused. I got one of those confirmation thingies in the mail, and I don't have a CC, so I checked the FAQ, and they told me I can buy tixx at the show, but that they might not be available if I got there directly. However, if I'm "in", shouldn't I be guaranteed a seat, because they said they could only take in 400 people, and only those who got something in their e-mails would have the privilege of attending?

If you couldn't get in, they said you can still see 'em in front of the Graumann's Chinese at 4:15 today.
