This is great news especially after that whole anime/manga bill passing crap.

I expect to see an announcement by the end of the year announcing the cancellation.

I expect that said bill will have virtually no impact, and everyone who was running around in a blind panic over it will conveniently forget the next time something similar comes up.

Awesome to hear we'll be getting the second part of the manga; though I have to wonder how they'll adapt certain things like Hana's rape scene given the first show focused more on the comedic/fanservice stuff (and their complete butchery of the Portrait of an Empress chapter they released as an OAV awhile ago)
Still, more Katja is always a treat. No matter how faithful the series is, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't actually enjoy the stuff they put in (like the hot springs filler episode) just for the character interaction alone. Funi needs to hurry up and license this show

It will have no impact *only if* the Tokyo committee chooses to do nothing. One loophole perhaps incidentally present in this law is that it does not cover online distribution. And Seikon no Qwaser has been showing the uncut version online after the edited version airs on TV (but even the edited version may not be safe under this bill) Whatever the case, some publishers have already stated their intentions to go full steam ahead essentially challenging the Tokyo politicians and this may be one of those cases.

I don't think any anime coming out in 2011 will be affected by the bill, since anime coming out in 2011 have been worked on since long before the bill came up for vote, so there's a lot of capital already invested that the interested parties won't get back unless they distribute the anime. And it's not like the first season wasn't censored, so except the same from season 2.

Cool I get to hear Aya Hirano's 'sadistic Konata' voice and Minori Chiharas's 'Yuki getting molested' voice again.
I still need to finish the first season.

Excellent! Nothing cures oppai fever like a good dose of Suckon no Crazier. As for Funi licensing this one - I'd love it, but it's highly doubtful. Funi did surprise me by picking up Dance in the Vampire Bund, but SnQ is a whole other level of wrong. I can just imagine the first time a Red State/Tea Party mom wanders into the living room to check out what kind of cartoony her L'il Johnny is watching and sees an obviously young boy slurping on a big ole pair of tit-tays...

It will have no impact *only if* the Tokyo committee chooses to do nothing. |
Or if the committee applies the bill stringently, as it should be.
