(The) Gokusen (TV) | Weak | Horribly boring and ugly. This thing just comes off as a bad GTO-ripoff (which is a good thing to ripoff btw) that has a slight yakuza angle and horrendous artwork. Also it's impossibly repetitive. |

Patlabor the Mobile Police (TV) | So-so
(The) Prince of Tennis (TV) | Decent | It's got lots of unrealistic tennis action which is sometimes thrilling, sometimes boring. My main beef with this show is that I usually prefer my shounen show heroes to start out as nothing and then become really, really good. It's fun to see our little boy win but there's no motive. Only later on does he find some sort of goal but it's still not enough for me. |
Ranma ½ (TV 1/1989) | Excellent

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (TV) | Weak
Tokyo Tribe 2 (TV) | Good | |
Trinity Blood (TV) | Weak | What happens if Trigun and Hellsing are mixed? Nothing of any importance. |
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE (TV) | Not really good
Utawarerumono (TV) | So-so
Virgin Fleet (OAV) | So-so
Welcome to the NHK (TV) | Very good | It takes every single stereotype of otaku culture and pushes it to the extreme where you don't even know if should be laughing or not. But below all the wacky adventures that our anti-heroes go through, there is an undercurrent of pain that cannot be ignored. And ultimately, that's what makes this show stick. |
When They Cry - Higurashi (TV) | Good
Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) | So-so
Yu-Gi-Oh! (TV 1/1998) | Weak |
