PENPALS' Iconic 'TELL ME WHY,' Featured In Berserk Anime, Now Available to Stream Worldwide

Tokyo, Japan - August 28, 2024 - The Japanese rock band PENPALS is thrilled to announce the worldwide digital release of its legendary opening theme for the iconic anime series Berserk, “TELL ME WHY,” is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Originally released in 1997 and featured in the first Berserk anime adaptation, “TELL ME WHY” has been a beloved track among fans for decades. Previously only available in a TV version on select streaming platforms, the full version will now be available on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music and other major streaming services worldwide. To complement the release, a music video will also be made available on VAP's Official Youtube Channel.

In addition, to commemorate this occasion a special playlist featuring Berserk's most iconic opening and ending themes has been compiled for fans. The playlist includes PENPALS' “TELL ME WHY,” SILVER FINS' “Waiting so long,” and Susumu Hirasawa's “BERSERK 〜Forces〜.”

Formed in 1996 by twin brothers Kinya and Moriya Kamijo along with Munemasa Hayashi, PENPALS made its major label debut in 1997.
