Nan Desu Kan, Colorado's Premier Anime Convention, is Back for Its 27th Year

Things are Bigger, Better, and Brighter than ever at Nan Desu Kan this Labor Day Weekend from August 30th to September 1st 2024. Located at the beautiful Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, Colorado, NDK brings fans of Japanese Animation and Culture together for its 27th year.

It all starts with our Pre-Convention Night Market on August 29th. Come join the community as we gather under the lantern light for atmospheric shop stalls and our Charity Ball supporting the Maria Droste Counseling Center. Then join our over 9,000 average daily attendees for 3 action packed days of Panels, Cosplay, Models, Art, Community, and Culture. You can hear brilliant discussions at our panels with talented voice actors and members of the wider community. Explore our beautiful Model Show, Car Show, and Art Gallery! Get yourself something wonderful in our massive Exhibitors Hall full of artists and vendors. Then enjoy some Anime with friends on the video screens in our main hall or enjoy some games in either our Tabletop Dojo or our gigantic Arcade, complete with Japanese arcade cabinets and charity Pachinko Parlor! Plus, dances, an onsite Maid Café, Cosplay Competition, Stage Performances and more. So many brilliant events are shining forth at NDK like a lantern in the night! Plus, when it's all done, join us for some of our end of convention activities to help wind down while keeping the wonder of NDK going.

NDK has been growing and expanding since 1997, and the Rocky Mountain Anime Association, the registered 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that runs NDK, has gathered this community year after year not only to have an amazing time, but to do amazing work for noble causes. This year NDK is supporting SafeHouse Denver. SafeHouse Denver assists adults, children, and youth in reclaiming their right to a life free from domestic violence. By providing shelter and counseling to survivors of abuse, working with public and community agencies to improve the way our systems respond to domestic violence, and by offering educational programming to prevent future violence. Since 1977, SafeHouse Denver has continued to provide full continuum of care to adults, children and youth experiencing domestic violence.

NDK once again brings fantastic voice actors, artists, and notable community contributors to the party each year. A small sample of this year's wonderful guest list includes:

Kikuko Inoue
Japanese voice actress Kikuko Inoue will be at NDK on Friday and Saturday this year. She has an amazing career as a voice actress, singer and narrator. You may have heard her voice in various anime such as Ranma 1/2 as Kasumi Tendo, Ah! My Goddess as Belldandy, Fairy Tail as Minerva Orland, Fullmetal Alchemist as Lust, and more. She has also worked in video games, as voices in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as The Boss, Death Stranding as Amelie, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker as Venat/Hydaelyn, and others. Kikuko Inoue is also the founder and manager of the voice acting company Office Anemone. She received the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 4th Seiyu Awards, and the Kazue Takahashi Award at the 10th Seiyu Awards.

Macy Anne Johnson
Macy Anne Johnson is an American voice actor most well known for playing Shikimori in Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, Swindler in Akudama Drive, Child Big Mom in One Piece, Emile in Spy X Family, Howan in Show By Rock! MASHUMAIRESH!!, Shouta in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, Mei in Hell's Paradise, Chiyuki in Smile Down the Runway, and Kaede in Gal and Dino.

Howard Wang
Howard Wang is a voice actor, ADR director, ADR script adapter, and an audio engineer, and an Adaptation Writer, and a video game developer. Howard has lent his voice to characters like Xie Lianin in Heaven Official's Blessing, Langa in SK8 the Infinity, Luka in Honkai: Star Rail, Narciso Anasui in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Hajime Kokonoi in Tokyo Revengers, Tsutomu Goshiki & Rintaro Suna in Haikyu!, Kenshin Himura in Rurouni Kenshin (2023), Sandalphon in the Granblue Fantasy franchise, Shihai Kuroiro/Vantadark in My Hero Academia, Whitley Schnee in RWBY, and many more! Howard is the ADR director for the new dub of The Prince of Tennis series and has assisted with titles like Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, Gleipnir, Kemono Friends, and more.
