VTuber Agency PRISM Project Announces Partnership with Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.
TOKYO, Japan – May 1, 2022.
VTuber production agency PRISM Project is excited to announce its latest step in developing and producing global VTubers, establishing a new partnership with Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.!
Beginning May 1, 2022, Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. (SMEJ) will take responsibility for PRISM Project's management and production, and as one of the foremost entertainment and music companies worldwide, SMEJ will bring exciting new opportunities for talent growth and development across the spectrum of entertainment content. PRISM Project's mission is to “create a world where all people on Earth can find something they love and feel happiness every single day.” Officially launched in 2021 by a small founding team and three multilingual talents, the agency has grown to twelve currently-active talents, with a strong, enthusiastic worldwide fanbase. In order to strengthen and expand this mission even more, and to provide the best opportunities for its “Agents” (talents) in a competitive market, PRISM sought out a partner to assist with management and production, and welcomes its new production team from SMEJ, which brings with it deep experience in the Japanese entertainment industry, including in the anime production, music production, voice actor/artist management, and merchandising fields.
While PRISM Project founders “Cap” and “Hacker” will move into a more advisory role, the day-to-day operations of PRISM will be handled by a new PRISM producer, who will make their Twitter debut on May 1.
