Pop Japan Travel Welcomes Winter with Winter Luminaria Tour
Gardena, CA (October 19, 2010) - Pop Japan Travel is pleased to announce the next generation of its Winter Tours: the Winter Luminaria Tour!
With a focus on enjoying a winter in Japan's largest city, the tour is geared towards fans of all varieties of popular Japanese culture, including fashion, anime, and the cute "mascot" characters that characterize toys and accessories in Japan. The tour gets its name from the special holiday light displays, or "luminaria", that are set up in many popular gathering spots in Tokyo to mark the holiday. The tour will be making two special stops at Luminaria in Tokyo to take in the illuminated city views.
The tour also includes the Jump Festa, an event devoted to the popular manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump such as Bleach, Naruto, Reborn!, and One Piece. In keeping with the "cute" theme, stops at the Hello Kitty/Sanrio theme park "Puroland" and Tokyo Disney Sea are also on tap for tour guests.
PJT Director of Operations Gigi Guiting admits that the additions of Puroland, Disney Sea, and Jump Festa earned the tour the temporary name "the cute tour." Why the fancier name? "We could have given [the tour] a dorky name, but we went with the Luminaria since we think it sums up what makes Japan a fun place to visit in the winter," says Guiting. "The combination of the lights, a warm cup of tea, and a gorgeous view is something anyone can enjoy!"
The Winter Luminaria Tour is scheduled to depart on December 13 and returns on December 19, or December 22 for people who take the optional extended trip to Osaka. The cost of the tour includes all accommodations, round trip airfare to Japan from Los Angeles, full tours of every area visited, transportation, professional bilingual tour guides, entrance fees to all activities, a customized guidebook created exclusively for the tour, and more. Guests from other cities may also contact Pop Japan Travel to arrange flights to Japan from other destinations. People interested in taking the tour may visit http://www.popjapantravel.com/ or e-mail [email protected] to sign up. All applications are due by November 10.
Since 2003, POP JAPAN TRAVEL has operated countless group tours and custom tours with themes focused on Japanese anime, manga, video games, music, fashion (to name a few) – all at an affordable price.
