Code Geass & Black Butler Creators, J.C. Staff Make Skate-Leading Stars TV Anime

J.C. Staff announced on Monday that it is producing an original anime project for 2020 broadcast and streaming titled Skate-Leading☆Stars. The anime is billed as a collaboration between J.C. Staff, Gorō Taniguchi (Planetes, Code Geass, Maria the Virgin Witch) as chief director, and Yana Toboso (Black Butler) as original character designer.
The cast includes (from top to bottom in visual above) Hiroshi Kamiya as Reo Shinozaki, Makoto Furukawa as Hayato Sasugai, and Yūma Uchida as Kensei Maeshima.
The anime centers on high school students in a competitive team-based version of figure skating named "skate-leading."
