The novels follow an ordinary boy named Wazu. When his childhood friend Aria is chosen as a holy woman to accompany a hero on a quest to defeat a demon king, Wazu awaits her return, but a great destiny waits for him.
NAHAaTO launched the novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in September 2015. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the novel in print with illustrations by Kazutomo Miya in August 2018, and the ninth volume shipped in July.
Urasuke Ayano (Toukiden Woniuchi) originally launched a manga adaptation (pictured below) of the novels in Comic Earth Star in March 2017. Ayano's version had one compiled volume that shipped in October 2017.
Nariie launched a manga adaptation of Takumi Hiiragi-Boshi's Absolute Duo light novel series in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in July 2013, and ended it in July 2017. Kadokawa shipped the manga's fourth and final compiled book volume last September. Seven Seas licensed the manga, and shipped the third volume on April 3.
