4th Digimon Adventure tri. Film Earns 61 Million Yen in 6 Days

Digimon Adventure tri. Part 4: Loss (Digimon Adventure tri. Sōshitsu), the fourth movie in the Digimon Adventure tri. anime film series, has sold 39,127 tickets to earn more than 61 million yen (about US$533,000) in the six days since opening in 13 theaters on February 25. The film ranked #2 on the Mini Theater Ranking chart, whereas the first three movies had topped the chart.
As with the previous films, Crunchyroll began streaming the movie on the same day it opened in Japan. The film opened in Japan on midnight last Saturday for a three-week limited theatrical run. The film's home video Blu-ray Disc and DVD will ship in Japan on April 4.
Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion earned 230 million yen (US$2.3 million) after opening in November 2015, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 2: Determination earned 160 million yen (US$1.6 million) after opening on March 12, and Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 3: Confession earned 120 million yen (about US$1.15 million) after opening on September 24.
The project, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure (the first entry in the television anime series), will have a total of six films. The first film received a theatrical release in the United States on September 15 with an English dub that features new and returning cast members. The dub screenings received an extended run in the U.S. starting on September 29.
Shout! Factory has licensed the first three films for home video.
