Kiriko Kubo's 1986 manga launches on December 13
Viz Media announced on Tuesday that it will publish the first volume of Kiriko Kubo's The Children Nowadays (Imadoki no Kodomo) manga digitally on December 13.
Viz describes the story:
Kirita is a typical child of the Eighties, equally worried about homework and nuclear war. His precocious friend Takumi can't figure out why the other kids won't acknowledge him as their obvious superior. And silent Tsugumu just wants to rock out. Welcome to the secret world of The Children Nowadays.
Kubo launched The Children Nowadays in Shogakukan's Big Comics Spirits magazine in 1986. The 13th and final compiled volume shipped in 1994 in Japan.
Viz published the Naruto: Itachi's Story - Midnight novel and the 12th and final volume of Stan Lee and Hiroyuki Takei's Ultimo manga digitally on Tuesday. The company will also publish Junji Ito's Tomie: Complete Deluxe Edition digitally on December 20.
