Crunchyroll to Stream 91 Days, Taboo Tattoo, Orange, Mob Psycho 100, Sweetness & Lightning, Alderamin on the Sky

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the 91 Days, Taboo-Tattoo, Orange, Mob Psycho 100, Sweetness and Lightning, Alderamin on the Sky, and Active Raid Second anime this summer. Crunchyroll already announced that it will stream the Berserk and ReLIFE anime series. The service will announce more anime titles in the coming weeks, and the staff indicated that the service has yet to announce more than half of its summer titles.

The 91 Days "classic mafia drama" takes place during the prohibition era. In the Lawless district the law has no power, the mafia rule the streets, and the illegally made liquor flows freely. At one time Avilio lived in this district, but after a mafia dispute ended in the murder of his family, he went into hiding. Later, Avilio receives a letter from a mysterious person that ignites his passion for revenge and leads him to return to Lawless. There, he infiltrates the Vanetti family and gets close to Nero.

Hiro Kaburaki (Hozuki's Coolheadedness, Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You, My Little Monster) is directing the series at studio Shuka (Durarara!! ×2). Taku Kishimoto (ERASED, Haikyu!!, Magi: Adventure of Sinbad) is serving as the series script supervisor, Tomohiro Kishi (My Little Monster) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director, and Shōgo Kaida (S.A, The Betrayal Knows My Name) is producing the music. TK from Ling Tosite Sigure will perform the opening theme song "Signal" and ELISA will perform the ending theme song "Rain or Shine."

The series will premiere on July 8 on MBS' "Animeism" programming block, but the cast and staff will first host an event that will screen the first episode on June 26. The anime will also air on TBS, CBC, and BS-TBS.

Yen Press is publishing Shinjirō's Taboo-Tattoo manga in North America, and it describes the story:

By all accounts, middle schooler Seigi is pretty unremarkable except for his martial arts prowess and a desire to protect the weak. But when his good intentions are put to the test by saving an old homeless man from some street thugs, the mysterious man shows his gratitude by...burning a tattoo onto Seigi's palm?!

It turns out, the tattoo is a powerful secret weapon that everyone--including a formidable girl with a tattoo of her own--is after. With his life on the line and his martial arts skills alone no match against super-powered foes, will Seigi be able to unlock the latent potential of his tattoo and live to fight another day?!

Takashi Watanabe (The Slayers, Shakugan no Shana, Freezing, Heavy Object) is directing the "stylish action epic" series at the anime studio J.C. Staff. Shinya Hasegawa (Golden Time, Revolutionary Girl Utena) is designing the characters, and Mayori Sekijima (Skip Beat!, Pandora Hearts) and Masateru Ohtake are handling the series composition and scripts. Shinji Hosoe is composing the music. May'n (Macross Frontier, Accel World, Aquarion Logos) is performing the anime's opening theme song "Belief." TRIGGER, a unit composed of Furukawa, Anzai, and Komatsu as their respective characters, are performing the anime's ending theme song "Egoistic Emotion."

The series will premiere in Japan on July 4.

Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing Ichigo Takano's Orange science-fiction romance manga in North America, and it describes the manga's story:

Everyone has regrets in life. So who wouldn't take the chance to change the past if given the opportunity? When sixteen-year-old Takamiya Naho receives a mysterious letter, claiming to be from her twenty-seven-year-old self, her life is suddenly thrown into flux. The letter tells her that a new transfer student by the name of Naruse Kakeru will be joining her class, and to keep her eye on him. But why? Naho must decide what to make of the letter and its cryptic warning, and what it means not only for her future, but for Kakeru's as well.

Hiroshi Hamasaki (Steins;Gate, Terraformars) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film, and Yuuko Kakihara (Chihayafuru 2) is writing the scripts. Nobuteru Yuki (The Vision of Escaflowne, Kids on the Slope) is designing the characters. Yukio Nagasaki (Gate, Dragon Ball Z Kai) is serving as the sound director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Kuromukuro, Monster Musume) is composing the music.

Yuu Takahashi performed the opening theme song "Hikari no Hahen" (Fragment of Light). Kobukuro (Bakuman., Cross Game) performed the ending theme song "Mirai" (Future), which was also the theme song for the Orange live action film that opened last December. "Mirai" will serve as not only the ending theme song, but also the overall theme song for the anime.

The anime will premiere on July 3 on Tokyo MX, AT-X, BS11, and TV Aichi. The anime will also air on ABC on July 6, and on TV Shinshu on July 14.

The story of ONE's Mob Psycho 100's story revolves around "Mob," a boy who will explode if his emotional capacity reaches 100%. This boy with psychic powers earned his nickname "Mob" because he does not stand out among other people. He keeps his psychic powers bottled up so he can live normally, but if his emotional level reaches 100, something will overwhelm his entire body.

Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) is directing the anime at BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Space Dandy, Blood Blockade Battlefront). Hiroshi Seko (Ajin) is overseeing the scripts, Yoshimichi Kameda (One-Punch Man animation director) is the character designer, Kazuhiro Wakabayashi (Eureka Seven, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Soul Eater) is the sound director, and Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Hana Moyu, Patlabor) is composing the music.

The anime will premiere on Tuesday, July 12 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, and also air on Yomiuri TV, BS Fuji, and Tele-Asa Channel 1. Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV will air a special program on July 4. An advance screening of the first episode will be held on June 25.

Kodansha Comics is publishing Gido Amagakure's Sweetness and Lightning (Amaama to Inazuma) manga, and it describes the original manga's story:

Having lost his wife, math teacher Kouhei Inuzuka is doing his best to raise his young daughter Tsumugi as a single father. He's pretty bad at cooking and doesn't have a huge appetite to begin with, but chance brings his little family and one of his students, Kotori Iida, together for homemade adventures. With those three cooks in the kitchen, it's no wonder this dinner table drama is so delicious.

Tarou Iwasaki (Ryoko's Case File, One Week Friends) is directing the series at TMS Entertainment with animation cooperation by Shin-Ei Animation. Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II, X-Men, Bono Bono) is handling the series composition and Hiroki Harada (The Pilot's Love Song, Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is designing the characters.

"Audiovisual unit" Mimi Meme MIMI will perform the opening theme song "Harebare Fanfare" (Bright Fanfare).

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV on July 4, and on BS11 on July 5. The series will be the first anime on the new "Anime no Me" programming block established by TMS Entertainment, Shinei Animation, East Japan Marketing & Communications, Inc., Sumitomo Corporation, and Asmik-Ace Entertainment.

In the Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyō no Alderamin (Alderamin on the Sky) "military history fantasy" series, the Katvarna Empire is at war with the neighboring Republic of Kioka. In the Katvarna Empire, the lazy, woman-admiring Ikuta hates war, but due to certain circumstances, he grudgingly takes the High Grade Military Officer Exam. No one would have expected that this 17-year-old young man would eventually become a soldier called a great commander by others. Ikuta survives this world engulfed in war with his superior intellect.

Tetsuo Ichimura (Ane Log 2nd OVA director, Norn9's assistant director, Bleach's episode director) is directing the anime at Madhouse. Kunio Katsuki (Aoi Bungaku Series, Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie's animation director) is in charge of character design, and Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Terraformars) is handling the series composition. Yoshikazu Iwanami (Baccano!, Ajin, Kill la Kill) is the sound director, and Keiji Inai (Outbreak Company, Heavy Object, Karneval) is composing the music.

The anime will premiere in Japan on July 8.

The story of Active Raid Second is set in a part of Tokyo that has descended into a quagmire, and it follows the Special Public Security Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit — popularly called "The Eighth" — who don powered armor "Willware" exoskeletons to counter the rise in crime. Assistant inspector Asami Kazari is assigned to The Eighth with the task of assessing the unit's status and reporting it to her superiors. But her true goal is to rehabilitate this sloppy, haphazard, justice-less group.

Goro Taniguchi (Planetes, Code Geass, Maria the Virgin Witch) is serving as chief director on the original television anime at Production IMS. Orange is producing the 3D CG. Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman., Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth, Castle Town Dandelion) is directing the anime, and Naruhisa Arakawa (MAOYU, Spice and Wolf, Outbreak Company) is writing the scripts. Artist and manga creator Shun Saeki ( Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is drawing the original character designs, while Asako Nishida (Love Live, Simoun, Vampire Knight) is designing the characters for animation. Kotaro Nakagawa (Planetes, Code Geass, Prison School) is composing the music.

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX on July 12 at 12:30 a.m., and also air on Sun TV , KBS Kyoto , TV Aichi , and BS NTV. The first 12-episode season premiered in Japan on January 7. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
