PS Vita game based on light novel series will ship in Japan on December 25

Dengeki Online began streaming four new gameplay videos promoting the upcoming PlayStation Vita game The Irregular at Magic High School: Out of Order (Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Out of Order) on Sunday. The videos depict the three modes of multiplayer gameplay.

"Normal Match" is a free PvP mode where players must meet a KO total to the number of players plus one in order to win.

"Psion Flag" is a "capture the flag" mode where the player who collects the most flags from "Psyon Flag" points is the winner.

"Territory Collapse" is a mode where players must destroy as many cores as they can on the battlefield in order to score points to win.

Dengeki Online also posted a video showing Miyuki performing her Ice and Fire Hell attack.

Bandai Namco Games will ship the game in Japan on December 25 after a delay. The normal copy of the game will retail for 6,170 yen (about US$52), while the special edition will cost 9,980 yen (about US$84). Original light novel creator Tsutomu Satou is writing a new story for the game. The game will include bonus costumes from the Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment game.

The television anime adaptation of Tsutomu Satou's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei (The Irregular at Magic High School) light novels began airing in April. Aniplex of America streamed the series on four sites in North America as it aired.
