CAPCOM announced its new game titled Biohazard: Revelations 2 (Resident Evil: Revelations 2) at the SCEJA Press Conference 2014 on Monday. The main staff of Resident Evil: Revelations will return to develop the new game, and the game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The story for the game is completely new, with a new time period and cast of characters, but will retain the concept of survival horror.
The game was unveiled with a “concept teaser:”
The game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show between September 18 and 21. The game is scheduled to ship on all systems sometime in 2015.
CAPCOM also unveiled an English-dubbed trailer for the HD remaster of the first Resident Evil game:
The game will be published for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, and will debut digitally in Europe and North America in early 2015.
The original Resident Evil survival horror game debuted in 1996 on the PlayStation. A remake then appeared on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. The most recent installment in the franchise, Resident Evil 6, was released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The first Resident Evil: Revelations game was released in January 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS, and was later ported to the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 in May 2013.
