Compile Heart Teases PS4 for 2nd Galapagos RPG Project
posted on by Egan Loo
Compile Heart began streaming an updated version of the teaser movie for the second project under its new Galapagos RPG brand on Tuesday. The video, titled “Galapagos Iguana-ppi Is Evolving Even More…!?,” teases that Compile Heart is making the new game in order to be loved even more by the company's "special customers" in the Japanese gaming community.
Like the original version, the updated video states that the new game is not Fairy Fencer F 2 or a new title in the Mugen Souls video game series, and hints that Compile Heart will “rise to a new world.”
The text in the bubble below the mascot Galapgos Iguanappi reads, “...Huh!? Something is strange about Galapagos Iguana-ppi... I wonder what's going on!” At the end of the video, the mascot says the words “PS” — and this updated version adds, "4." The updated video also adds, "Huge, huge, huge announcement in Weekly Famitsu magazine on May 8!!!"
Compile Heart launched the Galapagos RPG brand last year, with musical composer Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon, Guin Saga, Ah! My Goddess: The Movie) and his Earthbound Papas band and illustrator Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy, Vampire Hunter D) both contributing to the project's first game titled Fairy Fencer F. Compile Heart released the game in Japan last October, and NIS America is scheduled to ship the game in North America sometime this year.
