Discotek Streams Monster Rancher's 1st 12 Subtitled Minutes

Discotek began streaming the first 12 minutes of the first episode of the Monster Farm (Monster Rancher) anime series on Wednesday. The video is the original Japanese version with English subtitles.
The boxset with all 73 episodes will be released "at some point in the future."
TMS Entertainment produced the series, which aired in Japan in 1999-2001. The anime adapts Tecmo KOEI's simulation role playing game series. The series follows a video-game-loving boy named Genki who gets transported into the world of Monster Rancher and meets a girl named Holly. Together, Genki and Holly search for a way to revive the Phoenix, the only monster able to defeat the evil Moo.
The series aired in the U.S. on the Fox Network in 1999-2001. Discotek released the first dubbed box set in January.
