Stepping on Roses creator's Taishō-period story of girl mocked by fate
The official website of Shueisha's Monthly You magazine announced that manga creator Rinko Ueda will launch the Maria no Shiro (Maria's Castle) manga in the magazine's expanded May issue on April 15. The story is set during Japan's Taishō period (July 30, 1912 to December 25, 1926). The series' tagline reads, "The thing the girl mocked by fate has searched for!?"
Ueda's Hoikumen! manga launched as a full series in the magazine in February. Ueda had originally published the manga as a two-part story in the magazine last April.
Ueda is known for her manga titles Tail of the Moon and Stepping on Roses, both of which Viz Media is publishing in North America.
