Colorful Director Comes to Bristol on Saturday

The Japan Foundation has tweeted that director Keiichi Hara will hold a Q&A folllowing the screening of his anime feature Colorful at the Bristol Watershed centre on Saturday February 1 at 1 p.m. The screening can be booked here.
Based on the movel by Eto Mori, Colorful is about a person trapped outside the endless circle of life and death. Thanks to winning a lottery in the angel world, the protagonist is brought back to inhabit the body of a 14-year-old boy — who just committed suicide. The film won the Best Animation Film Award at 65th Mainichi Film Awards, and took two prizes at Annecy, the world's largest animation film festival.
The Bristol event is part of the Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme. Details of the other Bristol screenings are here, including the live-action comedy film Otakus in Love, directed by Suzuki Matsuo, which will be screened in Bristol on Saturday February 8 at 6 p.m.
