Last November, Rune Factory 4 developer Neverland filed for bankruptcy. Neverland stated that the causes behind its bankruptcy included slow sales, excessive loan repayments, and failure of financing efforts.
XSEED Games most recently released Rune Factory 4 for the Nintendo 3DS in North America on October 2013. Neverland released the game in Japan in July 2012.
