Final Baka & Test Novel Slated for November 30

The final novel in Kenji Inoue's Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) series is slated to ship on November 30. Inoue announced in volume 11 in April that "if things go well, the next volume will be the final one."
The comedy light novels' story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His magical academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses its summoning powers in an all-out battle for school supremacy.
Kenji Inoue began his Baka to Test to Shōkanjū novels with illustrations by Yui Haga in 2007 under the Enterbrain label. The series' manga adaptation launched in Shōnen Ace magazine in 2009 and received two spin-off manga. KOIZUMI ended the four-panel manga Baka to Test to Shōkanjū ja in the current issue on November 26.
The light novels have also inspired two television anime series and a video anime project. Both were released on home video by Funimation.
