A Certain Magical Index, Scientific Railgun Unite for New Puzzle-Action Game
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The November issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko Magazine announced on Thursday that a new game combining the stories of A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun has been green-lit.
The magazine describes the game as a “fresh, new” puzzle-action game that brings together characters from the Toaru universe together. The game is slated for this winter, though a platform has not been announced. More information will be unveiled in the next issue of the magazine.
A Certain Magical Index novels by author Kazuma Kamachi and illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura inspired two anime series, a feature film earlier this year, and a spin-off manga focusing on science side heroine Mikoto Misaka with art by Motoi Fuyukawa. The Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S anime sequel just finished airing last month.
Namco Bandai Games already released Toaru Majutsu to Kagaku no Ensemble (A Certain Magical and Scientific Ensemble), a game that brought A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun together, on PSP earlier this year:
