Manga creator to attend November 8-10 event
Pacific Media Expo will host Izumi Matsumoto, creator of the Kimagure Orange Road manga and anime, during its November 8-10 event in Los Angeles.
Matsumoto's Kimagure Orange Road romantic comedy manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1987, and it inspired a television anime series, multiple original video anime volumes, and two movies. The story focuses on a love triangle between the protagonist Kyōsuke and his two friends Madoka and Hikaru. Matsumoto attended Katsucon in 2012 and Anime Expo in 1994 and 2011.
Previously-announced guests for Pacific Media Expo 2013 include band BACK-ON, fashion designer Juliette et Justine, and voice actor Michael Sinterniklaas.
