posted on by Jon Hayward
Hanabee made the announcement through their Friday Hanabee HQ update. The series will be released as one collection on DVD and Blu-ray on the 4th of December 2013 and will have both the English dub and Japanese original audio on disc.
La storia della Arcana Famiglia
Arcana Famiglia are a 'self-appointed' organisation (Mafia) that consists of people with arcane powers and is controlled by the Papa, who protects the small mediterranean island they live on from threats far and wide. Felicitá is the one and only daughter of Papa, but when her Papa decides to retire he organises a tournament between arcana users. The prize? His seat as "Papa" and the hand of his daughter! Of course Felicitá (Mamiko Noto) refuses to accept this and decides to enter the tournament with her friends, Liberta (Jun Fukuyama) and Nova (Tsubasa Yonaga), fighting at her side.
This anime is an adaptation of HuneX (VitaminX Addiction) and Comfort Soft's visual novel series for female players. The game series started off with a title on the PSP in 2011, was followed by a fan disc for PSP and a spin-off cooking game in 2012 and will have a proper sequel in November this year. Chiaki Kon (When They Cry - Higurashi, Nodame Cantabile: Paris and Finale, Junjō Romantica) directed the series at J.C. Staff. Masanao Akahoshi (both Toaru Majutsu no Index series, Freezing) was in charge of the scripts and Mai Matsuura (Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru) adapted Yomi Sarachi's (Steins;Gate (manga) original character designs for animation. The anime retained the cast from the original PSP game and tie-in drama CD project. Arcana Famiglia has been screened by Crunchyroll and will be released in North America by Sentai Filmworks later this year, to this date Sentai Filmworks have not released any details on the English dub cast.
