The official website for the new anime adaptation of Suzuhito Yasuda's Yozakura Quartet manga, Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~, began streaming the second promotional video for the anime on Thursday. The video features the anime's “Sakura no Ato (all quartets lead to the?)” (After the Cherry Blosoms (all quartets lead to the?)) theme song by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, and introduces V. Lila F. (voiced by Ai Kayano), the new character in the Yozakura Quartet anime.
Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~'s staff is different from the 2008 anime series, but the same as the Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~ and Yozakura Quartet ~Tsuki ni Naku~ OVAs. Ryo-timo is designing the characters and directing the anime at Tatsunoko Productions. Kiyotaka Suzuki is serving as assistant director while Manabu Ishikawa is in charge of the scripts. New members to the anime's voice cast are Yōko Hikasa (K-ON, Senki Zesshō Symphogear G) as Nadeshiko Matsudaira, Nobuhiko Okamoto (A Certain Magical Index, Bakuman.) as Rokkaku, and Ai Kayano as V. Lila F. Yūki Ono (Daily Lives of High School Boys, The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) will replace Hideki Tasaka from the original Yozakura Quartet TV anime.
Japanese rock band phatmans after school is performing the ending theme "Tsukiyomi" (Moon-Reading). A preview screening of the new television series' first episode will be held in Tokyo on September 28, and the anime is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television in October.
