Story by Zone of Enders contributor Akira Tanizaki in new Champion Tap!

Akita Shoten's free online manga site Champion Tap! debuted Seven Cube, a new take on the Ultraman super hero story starring high school girls, on July 4. The weekly series is being drawn by Manmaru Uetsuki (Go Go Heaven!, Last Boss) based on the original story by Akira Tanizaki (contributor to Zone of Enders, Starship Troopers: Invasion).

The story follows high school girls who happen to be fans of the Ultra Seven tokusatsu (special effects) show. The original live-action show premiered in Japan in 1967.

Champion Tap! launched on July 4 with works by Kendi Oiwa (Welcome to the NHK), Tomomi Abe (Black Galaxy 6), Aoi Ikebe (Saudaade), Toko Kotoha (Virgin Complex), Sato, Kentarō Satō (Magical Girl of the End), Machio Same (Santa ga Konaku natta Hi), Yūki Shikawa (Hanako @ Lavatory), Shinobi (Yandere Kanojo), Tabayō (Kurusuburiido), Kenji Hamaoka (Ganso! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku) and Keiichi Yagisawa (AI: Patto), Fumi Fumiko (Bokura no Hentai), Etsuko Mizusawa (Hana no Zubora-Meshi), and more.
