Lucent Pictures Makes Japan/U.S. Animated 'Project Alpha'

The Japanese government reported on this year's recipients of a fund to support international film productions. One 50,000,000-yen (about US$500,000) recipient is "Project Alpha," a tentatively titled joint-Japan/U.S. animated work from Lucent Pictures Entertainment (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc trilogy). Another 50,000,000-yen recipient is the previously announced The Last Druid: Garm Wars from director Mamoru Oshii and Production I.G.
