Executive VP of Publishing Alvin Lu Leaves Viz

Alvin Lu, Executive Vice-President of Publishing at Viz Media, has left the North American publisher. Leyla Aker, Vice-President of Editorial, and Kevin Hamric, Director of Sales & Marketing, Publishing, will asume Lu's duties.
A Viz spokesperson told the retail news resource ICv2, "It was really sad to see him go — he's been such a part of our history & growth over the 13 years he's been with the company. We're grateful for all he's done to help us get to where we are now, and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors!"
Lu joined the company in 2000 as Editor-in-Chief of PULP magazine, and later served in several roles such as Editorial Director over Viz's broad range of manga and prose titles. Viz promoted him to his last position last spring. He recently he worked on Viz's original graphic novel content and digital delivery initiatives.
