posted on by Egan Loo
In his New Year's greeting, manga creator Shin Takahashi (Saikano, Kimi no Kakera, Iihito) revealed that he is drawing a new one-shot manga called "Spica -Hōkago no Chiisana Hoshi-" (Spica: A Little Afterschool Star) in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine this year. He is also starting a two-chapter manga called "Ano Shōtengai no, Honya no, Chiisana Oku-san no O-Hanashi" (The Story of a Little Shopkeeper, of a Bookstore, in That Shopping District) in the April issue of Hakusensha's Melody magazine at the end of February.
Takahashi launched Yuki ni Tsubasa in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in 2011. His Saikano manga inspired a 2002 television anime series, a 2005 original video anime project, and a 2006 live-action film. Viz released the manga and the anime in North America.
