The Sydney Manga and Anime Show had plenty going on, especially two industry panels, the first from Madman Entertainment had several new titles to be released in November including the Mahoromatic special. The second industry panel was held by new distributor Hanabee where their first two licenses were announced and CEO Eric Cherry emphatically stated that Hanabee will not be releasing Hentai but wants to give the fans the titles they want.
Namco Bandai transmedia arm, Shifty Look announced that they will be publishing a new Klonoa webcomic adaptation written by Jim Zub with illustrations by manga creator Hitoshi Ariga (Big O, Mega Man Megamix, Megaman Gigamix).
JManga will soon be launching a new manga site with unlimited access for free. The current plan is to offer new and old manga for free for a limited time with subscribers able to access content earlier than other people.
And finally, the illustrator of Samurai Girl Real Bout High School, Sora Inoue, will debut new manga, My Ball in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine. My Ball is a romantic comedy following a female high school student's day-to-day activities in the school soccer club.
