Chinese One Piece Theme Park Not Approved by Shueisha
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Japanese publisher Shueisha told the Rocket News 24 news website that it has not given formal consent to the Chinese theme park based on The One Piece manga and anime series. The People's Daily Online newspaper reported on Monday that Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime adaptation had inspired plans for a theme park in the city of Dafeng in Jiangsu Province. The theme park, which Rocket News 24 notes has already started construction, will also include themed restaurants and an anime research center.
An unrelated, officially sanctioned One Piece Grand Arena Tour will bring themed attractions and displays to arenas and convention halls throughout Japan this year.
