California's AM2 to Host Mushishi Director Hiroshi Nagahama

The organizers of the AM2 convention announced on Friday that it will host anime director Hiroshi Nagahama (Mushi-Shi, Detroit Metal City) as a Guest of Honor at this year's event. AM2 will run from June 15 to June 17 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
Nagahama started his career at Madhouse as a mechanical designer, then as a freelancer he worked on series such as Revolutionary Girl Utena as the animation director and on Fruits Basket as an assistant director and episode director. He has since directed the Mushishi television anime series and the Detroit Metal City OAV, and he served as an episode director for Guilty Crown.
Nagahama is also attending the Animazement convention in North Carolina on May 25-27.
Other guests at AM2 include character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, voice actresses Tara Strong and Andrea Libman, voice actor Quinton Flynn, and fashion designers Putumayo and Sixh.
