posted on by Egan Loo
The organizers of New York Anime Festival will host the prolific anime screenwriter Dai Satō and Tekken project director Katsuhiro Harada as guests during the October 13-16 event at New York Comic Con in New York City. The two will present a 3D screening of their computer-animated Tekken: Blood Vengeance film at 1:30 p.m. on October 16, and they will also hold Q&A sessions before and after the screening.
Sato's credits range from Cowboy Bebop to the live-action Casshern film. He also wrote on Ergo Proxy, edited and oversaw scripts on Eureka Seven (for which he also scripted 12 episodes), and contributed to the scenario and series script editing of the original video anime series Freedom. He co-wrote "The Package" segment of Halo Legends and has scripted episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (both seasons), Samurai Champloo, Wolf's Rain, and Eden of the East.
Harada has worked on the Tekken fighting games for 16 years, and he is not only the project director of this franchise, but also the chief producer on the Soul Calibur franchise and the Tekken x Street Fighter game.
