Xbox 360 Sells 1.5 Million Units in Japan

The digital entertainment analysis firm Media Create reported on Friday that Microsoft has sold 1.5 million Xbox 360 game consoles in Japan so far. The Xbox 360 first shipped in Japan in December of 2005.
In comparison, Media Create revealed that Nintendo's Wii console has sold 11.63 million units in Japan and Sony's PlayStation 3 console has sold 6.67 million units in Japan. As of two months ago, the Xbox 360 has sold 42.90 million units worldwide. In comparison, the Wii has sold 75.50 million units worldwide and the PlayStation 3 has sold 43.40 million units worldwide.
