Otakelaide and anime.au.11 On This Weekend

Two one-day conventions are happening this weekend, with Otakelaide, a new anime and video game convention in Adelaide, happening on Saturday, May 14th and anime.au.11, a Canberra convention previously on hiatus now returns on Sunday, May 15th.
Otakelaide will take place from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, in the Hawke Building at the University of South Australia's City West campus. Events include screenings, a cosplay contest, tabletop roleplaying games, a live band, video games and stalls. Tickets cost $10, with children under 5 admitted for free. anime.au.11 is being held on Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the Manning Clark Centre at Canberra's Australian National University. Tickets cost $20 for general entry, $15 for children under 12 and $50 for a family ticket. The convention has a variety of events including screenings, art, talent and cosplay competitions, a 'troll dub' contest, auctions, a quiz and a 'live forum' panel.
